Get to know me | Townsville Photographer

Seems we have so many new faces on our social media accounts, I thought it would be a great time to reintroduce myself and tell you a little bit about me!

As many of you already know, my name is Jodi and I’m a professional portrait photographer, specialising in Maternity, Newborn, Baby/Motherhood and Family Photography.

I’m a creative!

My passion is drawing, painting and taking photos… So, photography was the perfect avenue for me to study and pursue.

My dream business started back in 2016 when my husband joined the army.

Due to those circumstances, I consider myself lucky to have photographed hundreds of babies and families all over Australia.

Right now, we are currently in Brisbane. A place I’d like to call home. So we will attempt to stay here for as long as possible.

My own experience.

Being pregnant and welcoming our firstborn last year, has changed me.

It’s given me an even bigger appreciation for photography.

Like I know that children grow up really fast but when you experience it for yourself, it’s gone within the blink of an eye.

So gifting families with photos is the best thing in the world.

When I’m not taking photos, editing, or doing unlimited amounts of admin, you will find me with my little family!

This generally means feeding, cleaning and folding linen. Exhilarating I know.

But, when we go out, we do have lots of fun…

Our little man, Liam, loves to be outdoors, in the sunshine with a snack. As do I…

The things I value and appreciate most…

  • Family and friends
  • Love, honesty and kindness
  • The 3 c’s! Coffee, chocolate and hot chippies!
  • Creativity and documenting what is in front of us

What I am scared of…

  • Failure to succeed in personal goals
  • Germs! In my opinion, this is actually a blessing being a newborn photographer right?!
  • Bugs

I also love to be silly and have a laugh, it’s what makes my heart sing!

If you have made it right to the end of this blog, thank you! I appreciate that you’ve spent the time to read through my content.

Much love,

Jodi x
