My Experience at a Maternity & Newborn Workshop

I attended Anja McDonald’s Maternity and Newborn Workshop on the Gold Coast over the weekend and really wanted to share my personal experience with you all!

This workshop by far was the most enjoyable and educational experience I’ve ever had. Anja is incredibly humble, welcoming and open to teaching us her extensive knowledge about photography and how to run a successful business.

The reason why I decided to attend?

I feel that it is incredibly important throughout our career to expand our knowledge as much as possible and explore every avenue.

I specifically wanted to focus on maternity posing using artificial light (as I have previously been a natural light photographer) and look at new business/marketing strategies. Anja’s workshop was a perfect choice.

An in-person workshop allows the opportunity to share an experience with other like-minded people who share your passion. It was great to make some new friends and have fun in the process!

It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or more experienced photographer because Anja ensures to spend time with each student individually too.

Along with learning different techniques to style and pose, Anja shared her business secrets and post-production tips which were extremely helpful!

I have walked away from that experience with a business plan, so much more knowledge and an awesome goodie bag filled with products from my favourite vendors! Haha

Anja is so patient and supportive; she provides ongoing support to keep you on track even after the workshop has been completed which I find incredibly helpful. She truly wants everyone to succeed.

I am so passionate about providing my clients with the best experience and love to exceed their expectations, this is why Anja’s workshop is by far the best investment I have made for my career and I will continue to improve/update my skills and business regularly.
