WHEN DO WE BOOK
One of our most common questions asked… When do we book our newborn photography experience?
Newborn sessions are done within the first 14 days of life (preferably between 10-14 days old) to ensure a sleepy, and easily posed baby.
It is best to message me in advance to book the shoot - we pencil your estimated due date into my diary then once baby arrives, an actual date is scheduled.
This is to ensure that I have availability around my other bookings (I only take a few babies per month to ensure an amazing experience/service).

However, if you've already had your baby and are after something last minute, still get in touch because I can definitely try to fit you in!
What if I forgot to book or my baby was in NICU?
If circumstances change and you are unable to attend during this time, please still contact me. Your baby will have more awake time and may/may not allow us to position them like a newborn.
Either way, I will aim to capture a few lovely smiles and interaction with family members.
I know it would be daunting to make such a commitment so soon after your little one has arrived but please know that I am here for you and can accommodate!
The session will be nice and relaxing (with some parents falling asleep), so no need to stress.
The booking process:
- The session fee is required to lock in your approx. due date
- Once you're locked in, we will discuss all the details of your session and I will forward a preparation guide so you know everything prior to the session.
- Once the baby arrives, message me within the first 48 hours so that we can find an actual date… That easy!
What time?
Sessions are held in my studio (Burdell) and start at 9:30am during their heaviest day sleep.
Mini sessions run for about 1 hour and full sessions run for 2-3, allowing time to feed, pose and settle your baby.
No session is rushed and I only book one a day to ensure the studio and all props, accessories and blankets are clean between each client.

What do we bring?
All props including wraps, bonnets, tie backs and blankets are sourced from the finest local and international suppliers and are available to use during your session.
If you have something special to include too, please bring it along. I also have a full mamma wardrobe for your convenience.
Some important things for you to consider...
I am fully vaccinated and trained in newborn photography and qualified in fine art/editorial portrait photography.
I specialise in comprehensive and detailed retouching and spend many hours on the images that you really love.
It is important to me that you have an amazing experience and receive high-end timeless images.
